LAUSA RULES

London Aviators USA (LAUSA) is an non profit, free to join online pilot and ATCO community created for enthusiasts of flight simulation and air traffic control. One of the main goals of LAUSA is to create an environment which is fun, educational and as realistic a simulation of procedures followed by pilots and air traffic controllers everyday around the world. Both pilots and controllers logging on to LAUSA sessions must comply with the following rules and regulations. These rules set forth are how LAUSA expect pilot flying online as well as the certified air traffic controller to conduct themselves at all times.

General Rules

1 No Spawning on the active Runway in any session without prior permission from ATC.

2 Keep radio chatter to a minimum and use correct ATC terminology where possible, if you are unsure about something just ask, the tower controllers are here to help
(we do not need to know when/if you are going away for any reason).

3 When you join the session do not contact the tower, the tower will contact you in sequence, please be patient.

4 Any member found out to be passing the session password to any non members will be banned from any future sessions and from the website completely.

5 Any member joining a session should visit our charts link first or attempt to locate charts for the airports in use in the session.

6 LAUSA operates a 3 strike rule, in other words at the management's discretion you will be given 3 warnings and then you will be banned from the website and all future sessions for good.

7 Anyone found to be in the tower during a session without prior authorization will be kicked from the session and receive one warning.

8 Do not send private chat or friendship requests to any member or the server as soon as the log on as Gamespy will most definitely disconnect them.

9 No member on the LAUSA membership list is allowed to host a session under the LAUSA name; anyone found doing so without prior permission will receive an instant BAN.

10 Emergencies are not permitted in any session unless it is stated in the session description. Alternatively you can ask the controller before declaring an emergency.

11 All members taking part in a session must be respectful of all other players in the session and if you hear someone else talking does not speak over them.

12 Pilots and Controllers are prohibited from publishing, posting, distributing or disseminating any kind of defamatory, infringing, obscene, vulgar, profane or other type of unlawful material or information through the use of session chat boxes, ATC text channels or voice ATC channels. Individuals violating this rule are subject to removal from LAUSA and prevent re-entry in to any LAUSA session public or private.

13 Controllers should not carry on private conversations between themselves, pilots or other individuals on the active communication frequency. This interferes with providing ATC services to other pilots. The guard frequency should only be utilized in cases of emergency and under no other circumstances. Controllers are encouraged to use private chat boxes for carrying on private conversations.

Remember, the primary goals of LAUSA are to educate, to provide a realistic simulation of flying and air traffic control and, most importantly, to provide a fun environment for everyone to enjoy our hobby.

By following the simple rules set forth in these rules and regulations, everyone is ensured of learning and making new friends from around the world.
